Our clients were looking for a modern design to maximise their open plan kitchen and living area. This stunning painted feature wall elegantly ties the dark graphite grey island and designer radiator together with the beautiful blue themed living space. The simple breakfast bar also creates a clever transition between the two different zones.
Establishing a highly practical layout that would accommodate plenty of storage was key to our client’s brief. Pairing a sleek bank of tall units with a spacious kitchen island allowed us to strike the perfect balance between storage and countertops. The island layout undoubtedly makes the most of the available space, creating a clear workflow that complements how our clients like to cook. This minimal modern kitchen with a pop of colour sets a wonderfully stylish and sophisticated tone to our client’s Lowestoft home.
The details...
Beautiful under plinth lighting adds a luxurious contemporary edge to this Lowestoft kitchen, giving the units the illusion of floating. Positioning the hob on the island offered a great solution to achieving a practical layout. However, this meant ducting through the roofspace and adjusting the ceiling joists to install the ceiling extractor.
