STYLISH ACCESSIBLE CONTEMPORARY KITCHEN

TAVERHAM, NORFOLK

This sophisticated handleless kitchen was a big change for our Taverham clients. However, we think you’ll agree that their new space looks simply sublime. A combination of light grey units and oak accents gives this interior a stylish and timeless feel. The handleless design establishes a sleek look while making a practical choice for wheelchair users. From the flooring to the blinds and even the cooker hood, natural wood helps offset the minimal colour scheme beautifully.

Our client’s period property had plenty of quirks, making our attention to detail all the more important. We cleverly adjusted the depth of the cabinetry along one wall to hide irregularities and create a streamlined aesthetic. Accessibility was also a key factor. We reduced the height of the ovens and breakfast bar to accommodate wheelchair access. The island also makes an excellent practical addition as it offers ample accessible storage. This stunning project goes to show that an accessible kitchen can be just as stylish.

The details...

The kitchen island creates a lovely informal social hub, complementing our client’s dining area perfectly. This clean and elegant modern design works fantastically in a traditional setting.

What our client says...

“Our original kitchen was traditional country themed. We were looking for something completely different. The new layout needed to accommodate wheelchair access. The space was challenging as the walls vary in depth. A beautiful line of cabinets now conceals this, making it all uniform. We really like our new island. It is a very social part of the kitchen. Mulberry’s craftsmanship was exceptional; their communication was excellent. We always worked together and felt very comfortable. Olga always had time for us.”
