ELEGANT & COSY COUNTRY KITCHEN

WYMONDHAM, NORFOLK

This gorgeous farmhouse kitchen beautifully combines the best of the old with the best of the new. Flawless in-frame cabinetry in a radiant and refreshing Farr Beach white provides a clean yet characterful backdrop, while a charming old AGA range takes centre stage. The exposed brickwork creates a stylish contrast against the cool, stainless-steel fridge-freezer. However, the lacquered oak worktops ties in perfectly with our Wymondham client’s kitchen, complementing the stunning original beams and farmhouse doors.

Though this exceptional design seamlessly unites the traditional and modern together to elegant effect, practicality has certainly not been overlooked. The island makes the perfect place to prepare food while cooking on the range, offering ample storage as well as creating a clever transition between the kitchen and dining area. Two sinks allow for a separate food prep and washing-up area, so our client needn’t traverse the kitchen with a heavy pan of water. This beautiful traditional Wymondham kitchen was a pleasure to design and install.

The details...

We went to great lengths to retain the cosy farmhouse feel at the heart of this kitchen, even taking care to restore the original flagstone floor. We also replaced the magnificent built-in dresser in the dining area.

What our client says...

"We knew that we wanted a traditional style kitchen with an oak worktop for our farmhouse and found exactly what we were looking for at Mulberry’s Norwich showroom, where they have a large selection of handles and worktops to choose from. The island worktop looks incredible. It’s so easy to keep clean, and I can put hot saucepans straight onto it from the Aga. The kitchen fitter was brilliant, and communication was excellent throughout the process. Mulberry even renovated the old flagstone floor. We are over the moon with the final kitchen."
